Kindergarten Solo Singing Competition

A gentle, low-pressure first performance experience that builds confidence, self-expression and a lifelong love of singing.

Key rules & guidelines

  • One helper—teacher or parent—may stand nearby, hold a hand or encourage, but must not sing along.
  • Choose any school-appropriate nursery rhyme, action song, simple film or folk song, or favourite.
  • Sing unaccompanied, to an instrumental backing track with no lead vocals, or with host-provided live piano.
  • Wear a comfortable fun outfit or safe, easy-to-move costume; no face-hiding masks.
  • No time-overrun penalties: hesitations, pauses and restarts are welcomed warmly.

Inter-School Choir Competition

A professional performance platform celebrating ensemble discipline, blend, balance and intonation with constructive adjudication.

Key rules & guidelines

  • A maximum of 2 accompanying teachers may play instruments; teachers do not sing.
  • One student or staff member may conduct. A staff conductor does not count toward the singer limit.
  • Perform 2 pieces of contrasting style or tempo from any genre; overruns lose 2 points per 30 seconds.
  • Only live acoustic or amplified instruments played by the 2 teachers are allowed. No backing tracks, pre-recorded vocals or auto-tune.
  • The host provides a piano/keyboard.
